Inter City Meet Club Service

Inter City Meet

The Inter City Meet was held at Darjeeling on 20 June 2026, hosted by the RC Darjeeling. Eight Rotarians, one Rotary Partner, and three Rotarylets from the RC Kalimpong participated in the event. The Business Session was held in the morning, during which members deliberated on the current status of Rotary, membership trends, and the challenges affecting the growth of the organization. The session featured a thought-provoking discussion, ably led by Rtn Sunirmal Chatterjee of RC Darjeeling. The afternoon was devoted to sporting events, with competitions in badminton, table tennis, pickleball, snooker, bridge, and lawn tennis. Following lunch, a well-organized quiz competition was conducted. More than 50 Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Kurseong, Darjeeling, Darjeeling Himalayas, and Kalimpong participated in the day's activities. The ICM concluded with an enjoyable fellowship and dinner, providing members an opportunity to strengthen friendships and fellowship across clubs.

The House took up discussion on the resignation of the Chess Coach Mr. Subham Rai. During the meeting, PE Rtn Pravin Pradhan discussed the 34th Installation Program of RC Kalimpong was discussed. The 1493 RWM was held on 7th May at the Rotary Centre Tapoban. PE and Vice President Rtn Pravin Pradhan presided over the meeting. PP CA Sumit Jindal gave a report on the conduct of the District Interact Conference on 2nd and 3rd May at Dr. Grahams Homes Kalimpong. A total of 150 Interactors from 11 Schools participated in the DIC. Interactors came from Malda, Siliguri, Kurseong, Darjeeling, Gangtok and Kalimpong. The House congratulated Team RC Kalimpong on the successful conduct of the District Interact Conference. Letter of gratitude were sent to Principal Dr. Grahams Homes for their wholehearted support in the conduct of DIC.

The 1490 RWM was held on 16 Apr 20 at the Rotary Centre at 5 PM. The meeting was presided over by Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi. The House took up discussions on the conduct of DIC on 2nd and 3rd May 26. The President on reviewing the Committees made a few changes due to appologies received from members. The House decided on holding following competitions during the conference: Placard making, Reel making, Dance and a Fashion Parade . It was also decided that the judges for the competitions will be outsourced from the civil society of Kalimpong. The President along with some members met with the Principal of DGH and his team to discuss various issues of hosting the DIC at DGH.

The 1489th RWM was held on 9th April 26 at the Rotary Centre at 5.00 PM. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi. 15 members attended the meeting. The house discussed the upcoming event conduct of the District Inetract Conference 2026 at Kalimpong. Various issues regarding fixing the date, venue, recce of the venue were discussed. A time line was drawn up. Various Committees for conduct of the event was announced by the President. The House also discussed holding of the 10th Board Meeting and celebrations of the Charter Day. It was decided to hold 10th Board Meeting on 18th Apr and also the Charter Day on the same day after Board Meeting.

The 1488th RWM was held on 2nd April at the Rotary Centre Tapoban, at 5.00 PM. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col AK Gogoi. Two members though not physically present for the meeting but attended Rotary Community Service projects PP Sanjogita Subba and Rtn Vikash Kejriwal who attends the ongoing Chess Training Project and sports programme at the Rotary Centre. The House took up discussions on on the upcoming Interact District Conference 2026. After discussions the House decided to host the Conference on 2nd and 3rd May 2026 at Dr. Grahams Homes. Rtn Crd Dilram Gurung delivered a very informative talk on Autism to the House. IPP SR Fudong shared pher personal experience on Autism. The House took a decision to subscribe for a half-page coloured ad in the District Directory @Rs 8000/-. The cost of the ad is to be shared by all members equally.

The 1485th RWM was held on 12th March at the Rotary Centre at 5.00 PM. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col AK Gogoi. 14 members attended the meeting. The President updated the House on the Agro-Vet Camp scheduled on 13 March at Naya Busty, Kumai. Check list and Duty roster for DGs visit was gone through and updated. A Strategic Planning Team was constituted comprising of the President, PE, PEN, PEND, IPP, Secretary, Secretary Elect, Treasurer and Treasurer Elect. Plans for celebration of International Womens Day were discussed. Nominees for the Vocational Service Awards were discussed.

The 1484th RWM was held on 5th March at the Rotary centre at 5.00 PM. In the absence of the President, PP Rtn Mukesh Changia presided over the meeting. He informed the House that the DGs OCV has been scheduledon 21st March. He read out the time table as received from AG in this regard. The House discussed our own schedule of program, check list, responsibilities and duty roster. Date for the 9th Board Meeting was also discussed and fixed on 14 March to be followed by celebrations of International Womens Day. It was decided to do away with Khadas and falicitate guests with flower plants instead. PP Vikash Golyan Sr informed that the District Foundation Grant for OHP has been sanctioned. The 1483 RWM was held on 26th Feb at the Rotary Centre at 5 PM. President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by 13 members. Important issues discussed during the meeting were the tentative date for the DGs OCV as informed by the AG Rtn Shoyeta Chatterjee, letter received from Mr. Santanu Podder, and proposal by PP Dr. MS Foning for a GG for VTC Phase II. AG Rtn Shoyeta Chatterjee was requested to fix a date in Apr as 11th Mar was too short a notice. Proposal for partnership with Rotary by Mr. Santanu Podder was turned down by the House as being not tenable . The House welcomed the proposal for GG by PP Dr. MS Foning. However, he was requested to complete the infrastructure of DISHA required for Phase II of VTC before taking up the GG. The House also discussed a checklist for the DGs OCV. Col Kunga proposed names for Vocational Awards which needed to be approved by the House. PE Rtn Pravin Pradhan gave a talk on the Hustory of Rotary.

The 1482nd RWM was held on 19th Feb at the Rotary Centre at 5.00 PM. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi. Eleven members attended the meeting. The 1481st RWM was cancelled due to members involvement in the marriage ceremony of Ms Neha, daughter of PP Naveen Soni on the 12th and 13th Feb. PP Naveen Soni conveyed his thanks and gratitude to the members for their help and suport during the wedding. Important decision taken during the meeting are that the Medical Camp in association with Mission Hospital Durgapur will be held in the third week of Mar, for which the club has to prepare the ground work. PP Dr. MS Foning assissted by his son Mr. Don, presented a PP presentation on the Vocational Training Centre at DISHA under Rotary banner. The proceeding of the meeting was disrupted due to electricity failure. However, the House carried on with the meeting with make shift light arrangements from their mobiles phones.

7th Board Meeting

The 7th Board Meeting was held on 31st Jan 26 at 6.00 PM at the conference hall of Karmas Kitchen Kalimpong. President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. 19 members along wit their Partners (as invitees) attended the meeting. The President gave a report on the 36th District Conference held at Shillong from 9th to 11th Jan 26. Highlight of the conference were the adoption of amendment to District Bylaws, election of DGND and COL Representative and Alternate. Electronic voting for RI Director 2027-29 was in progress and will conclude on 1st Feb 26. The Board discussed the proposal for an inter club meeting of clubs of Zone 8 and decided on joining RC Darjeeling at Gymkhana Club for the same. The House formed a committee under PP Rajat Dalmia as the Chair and Rtn Dr. Anisha Rai, Rtn Dr. Gaurav Chhetri and Rtn Rakes Sinhal to undertake a Medical Camp in colaberation with Mission Hospital and other medical experts.

The 3rd Club Assembly of RC Kalimpong was held on 31st Jan 26 at conference hall of Karmas Kitchen Kalimpong at 5.00 PM. Presidnet Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. Eleven members attended the meeting. Welcoming the members, the President stated that this was the first physical meeting of the calender year 2026 at a new venue. The Assembly discussed activities of the Standing Committes and formulated plans to achieve balance of the targets in the coming six months. Decisions were taken to organise a major medical health camp, use of the digital media to spread awareness about Autism, confirmation in contribution to TRF and Polio Fund, efforts to start new Interact Clubs, a training program for reorientation of new as well as old members.

The 1479th RWM was held online on 29 Jan 2026. Due to a technical hitch, the meeting scheduled at 7.00 PM could only at about 7.15 PM after the technical snag was resolved. However, the members did not lose their patience and waited for the snag to be resolved. The President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi while welcoming the members to the meeting thanked them for their patience. Ten members attended the meeting. Three important decisions were arrived at during the meeting. Firstly date for the 7th Board Meeting and 2nd Club Assembly were fixed on 31st Jan 26. Secondly on request of the President six names were received as guest speakers on varied subjects. Thirdle, a mid term review of the Clubs preformance was taken. The members expressed happiness and satisfaction on completion of all contempleted projects, especially the Mega Agro-Vet Mela in Sep and Motorbike Rally in Dec 25.

The PE, welcoming the members informed the House that the President along with 2 Rtns were on their way to Shillong to participate in the 36th District Conference. Rtn Vikash Golyan Jr and Col PC Thapa reported on the Bike Rally organised by RC Kalimpong on 20th Dec 25. They stated that the Rally was very meticulously planned and executed and was a big success. The 1475th RWM was conducted on 18th December 2025 at 1700 hrs at the Rotary Centre Hill Cart Road Tapoban, Kalimpong. Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. 14 members attended the meeting. During the meeting, final preparations for the Motorbike Rally were made. A headcount of the participating bike riders and others going by car was taken. A stock of all Publicity banners and posters distributed and displayed were taken. Social media reels and videos were circulated. Details of escorting the SP for flagging off the Rally, to our Centre were worked out. A detail schedule of the days itenary made. All loose ends of the Bike Rally were tied up.

The 5th Board Meeting for the RY 2025-26 was held on 30th Nov 25 at the Rotary Centre at 1235 hrs. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col AK Gogoi. 20 members attended the meeting and two partners were in attendance. Rtn Col Gogoi and Rtn Vishal Gurung briefed the House on further progress of the Bike Rally. They emphasised that all members must register for the Rally. A press briefing was held on Friday at Rtn CA Sumit Jindal’s office and the media was informed about the Motorbike Rally with the theme of End Polio Now. The interview has been aired by the media in their channels and fb. Induction of Honorary Member Capt Prakash Mani Pradhan, Principal Rockvale Academy was carried out amidst a lot of enthusiasm and goodwill. President Rtn Col AK Gogoi welcomed him and Rtn Sumit Jindal introduced Capt Prakash to the House. As part of induction, he was presented with the Rotary Lapel Pins and also was informed about his perks and privileges.

The 1469th RWM was held on 06 Nov 25 at 5 PM at the Rotary Centre Kalimpong. President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. After the inductionn of a new member, an orientation program was cerried out by PP Rtn Col PC Thapa during the RWM. The orientation program included in detail the structure and functioning of Rotary. Following this, the President gave a talk on The Rotary Foundatuon, coinciding with November month as the Rotary Foundation Month. The 1466th Regular Weelky Meeting was held on 9th October at 5.00 PM at the Rotary Centyre Kalimpong. In absence of the President, Rtn Col AK Gogoi, the meeting was presided over by Vice President and PE Rtn Pravin Pradhan and attended by 13 members. The House was informed by the Vice President about the upcoming Installation Ceremony of District Interact Team to be held oin our Rotary Centre on 12 Oct. The DIC Rtn Subhankar Das and AG Rtn Sheyota Chetterjee would be attending the Installation Ceremony. He requested maximum Rtns to attend the ceremony and encourage our Interactors. The up coming Motor Cycle Rally was also discussed. Secretary Rtn VishalGurung breifed the House on the route recce conducted earlier. At the begining of the meeting a two minute silence was observed in paying homage to Late Sri Ganpat Lal Soni, fethre of PP Rtn Naveen Soni.

The 3rd Board Meeting was held on 20 Sept. Presided over by President Rtn Col AK Gogoi. 18 members in attendance. Four Way Test Plaque at DGH be replaced by a new one on 24th Sept on the occasion of their 125th Birthday celebrations. Name of new member Mr. Tshering T Bhutia uploaded in the official Group. Objection to his membership must be conveyed in writing by 6th Oct. House discussed emergency Trust Meeting, letter of Dr. Khem Pradhan Fatimi, the Endowment Fund and its operations etc. Findings of the Members satisfactory Survey was announced. 17 members participated in the survey, average score was 4 out of 5 points. The Treasurer submitted expenditure state from Jul to Sept. The Finance Committee recommended an increase of salary of caretaker Mrs. Rajini Kari by Rs 1000/- pm; employment of a safai karmachari at a monthly emolument of Rs 2000/- pm; to consider a review of Semi-Annuals. The House accepted is recommendations and asked that cost cutting measures also be thought of.

The 1465th RWM of RC Kalimpong was held on 25th Sep at the Rotary Centre Tapoban. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col AK Gogoi. 20 members attended the meeting. Important issues discussed during the meeting was the understanding of the House to seek civil courts opinion regarding relevancy of the Rectified Trust Deed of KRHSPT dated 21 April 2009 with respect to the original Trust Deed dated 18 August 2004, induction of new Trustees post 2009, Rectified Deed or Amendment and so on. The Managing Trustee Rtn Dr. MS Foning was requested to submit a draft application to the House b 15 oct for its approval. Secondly, the proposed Motor Bike Rally was discussed in detail and a time table drawn out. Appointment of IPP Sheila Rai Fudong as AG for RY 2026-27 was announced to the House.

The 1464th RWM was held on 18 Sep 2025 at the Rotary Centre. 12 members attended the meeting. A report on the conduct of the Agro- Vet Mela at Pedong was presented to the House. The resounding success of the Pedong fair was appreciated by all. Special words of appreciation and thanks were given to Rtn Dr. Devendra Pradhan for his extra ordinary capability to organize such evets along with cooperation of the Government Departments. Rtn Dr. DP Pandey was appreciated for his remarkable endurance, patience and expertise in conducting 33 ABC operations non-stop. The meeting also discussed future projects planned by the Literacy Committee under PP Rtn Sanjay Bajla on Digital Literacy Initiative.

The 10th Board Meerting for the Rotary Year 2025-26 was held on 18th Apr 26 at the Rotary Centre at 5.30 PM. The President , while welcoming the members stated that we ma not get aonther chance to discuss the DIC as the next week will be taken up by the West Bengal elections. In light of the voting on 23rd Apr, the 1491 RWM was cancelled. Hence, it was important that all issues related to the DIC be sorted out in this Board Meeting. The House took up discussions on conduct of the District Interact Cenference (DIC) 2025-26. The program schedule was discussed in detail and relevant decidions taken. The Committee members were requested to take up their responsibilities in ernest . The House also took up discussion on the recomendation of two new members and approved their applications unanimously.

New Gen Director Rtn Sumit Jindal was commended on the excellent presentation of PPTs by all the five Interact Clubs. It was decided to include a new page in our website to include the MOP. The House discussed upcoming event District Interact Conference to be held in Kalimpong. Tentative dates fixed are 22,23 & 24 May 26. Learning from last DIC, certain other decisions were taken to improve upon conduct of coming DIC. The House was informed that proposal for District for Rs 1,10,000 has been submitted to the District on 24th March for procurement of chess equipment.

Visit of DG Rtn Dr. Kameswar Singh Elangbam,

Dr. Kameswar Singh Elangbam, DG RID 3240 visited RC Kalimpong on 21st March for his OCV. He was accompanied by AG Rtn Shoyeta Chatterjee. The DG met Interactors of RVA, DGH, APS, SAS and Saptashri Gyanpeeth. They briefed the DG about their activities on PPT and further interacted with him. President Col Ashok Gogoi, along with his team of Rtns discussed with the DG various aspects community service and activities carried out by the Club. The DG suggested that Strategic Planning for three years should be drawn up for projects to be impactful. During the special meeting held in his honour, Rotary Service Awards were presented to Ms Yogita Chhetri of Animal Shelter, Kalimpong and Mr. Wangdi Tamang, social worker. Mr. Tshering Thendup Bhutia, was ceremoniously inducted as a new member of the Club. PHF and MPHF pins were awarded to members. The DG highly appreciated the work done by Rotary Club of Kalimpong and encouraged the club to undertake projects under GG and District Grants.

The 9th Board Meeting was held on 14 March 26 at the Rotary Centre at 5.30 PM. President Rtn Col AK Gogoi presided over the meeting. 20 members attended the meeting. A report on the Agro-Vet camp held at Naya Busty Kumai was given by Cdr Dilram Gurung. A talk on wildlife awareness by Dr. Deepak Sharma of ARD Department Kalimpong was informative to all the participants, specially to the villgers living next to the Wildlife Sanctury, SSB personnels and forest department officials. The House was informed that the Police Department of Kalimpong held a training program of the police officials at the Rotary Centre on 14th morning from 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM. The House discussed DGs forthcoming OCV and preparation of the Centre for the visit. PP Mukesh Changia updated the House on PHF and MPHF and 50:50 RI Recognition Award challenge. Dr. Dipti Tamangof Pedong College was invited as a guest speaker. She spoke on culture and identity in the Darjeeling Hills.

The 8th Board Meeting was held on 28th Feb at the Rotary Centre. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi. The House discussed various otions for the coming DGs OCV. Proposal for opening new OInteract Clubs in St. Joseph Convent and Pranami Balika Vidyalaya were discussed. High light of the meeting was a talk by guest speaker Dr. Dipti Tamang, Assistant Professor at Govt Degree College Pedong. She spoke on Culture, Politics and Identity in the Darjeeling Hills. It was a very interesting talk and the members were left spell bound by her speech, rich in contents and reasoning.

The meeting was devoted to finalizing the schedule for NC meeting, 1st Club Assembly, 5th BM and induction of Honorary Member Capt Prakash Mani Pradhan. The President gave a brief of his attendance at the TRF Seminar at Malda on 23rd Nov. Rtns Mahendra Agarwal and Pauline Singh accompanied him to Malda. Rtn Vishal Gurung and Cdr Dilram Gurung met the SP Kalimpong on 23rd Nov to seek permission to organize the Motorbike Rally. They were plseantly surprised by his overwhelmong support. He directed his subordinate staff to detail two good riders to accompany the Rally and organis its flagging off and reception at Parengtar. The President informed the House that he had receuved a request from President RC VDarjeeling Rtn Vivek Chhetri to coopt with them a picnic at Relly on 13 Dec and Medical Camp at Sinji on 14th. after discussion by the Hpuse it was agreed to join RC Darjeeling and combine our annual picnic with them.

The 1463rd RWM was Presided over by the President Rtn Col AK Gogoi. The Club has started a sports facility for children within the Club premises. The facility provides following games and sports to the children free of cost: Table Tennis, Badminton, carom, chess, hoopla, and skipping ropes. Basketball will be introduced soon. An application form was circulated to the children to be filled up and obtain their parents consent. Identity cards have been issued to each child. The sports facility will be open on days except Mondays from 4.00 PM to 6.00 PM. A record of their attendance is maintained. But for the TT equipment, all other sports items have been donated by the Rtns and their family. The House appreciated Rtn Vikas Kejriwal who steered this project from scratch to finish.

At the beginning, PP Sharda Mukhia was felicitated by the President for her 25 years of dedicated Rotary Service with a citation and shawl. It was a one point agenda for the meeting i.e. to update the Club Bylaws. The meeting was a marathon meeting lasting over 105 minutes. All members participated in the discussions and agreed by consensus on points brought forward for amendments to the Bylaws. A draft SOP on Endowment Fund was also discussed.

On 31st May, members and spouses of the Rotary Club of Kalimpong visited Tunnel No. 17 at Majitar, part of the Sevoke–Rangpo Broad Gauge Railway Project, an engineering marvel under construction in the Eastern Himalayas. The team was briefed at the project office by Mr. Sajjan Singh, Mr. P. K. Sahar, and Mr. Biswajit Dutta. The officials explained that the project was conceived in 2006, construction began in 2017, and completion is expected by December 2027. The 45-km railway line comprises 14 tunnels and 17 bridges, built through challenging mountainous terrain. Members were given a guided tour of a two-kilometre section of Tunnel No. 17 and the highest bridge under construction on the route. Future plans include extending the rail network to Gangtok and eventually Nathula Pass on the India–China border. The visit was an enriching and memorable experience, providing insight into a landmark infrastructure project that will greatly enhance connectivity in the region.

The 11th Board Meeting and 1st Joint Board Meeting was held on 23rd May. Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. The President thanked all members for the well conducted DIC on 2nd and 3rd of May 26. Rtn Vikash Golyan Jr brought out problems faced by the Interactors for non-availability of Internet connection for the reel making competition. President Col Gogoi brought out that the role of Faculty Advisors of Interact Clubs need to be recognised and appreciated. After discussions the following important decisions: 1. The House decided to recognize Faculty Advisors of Interact Clubs of all Schools, on completion of one year of continuous service by award of a Certificate of Appreciation at the end of the Rotary Year. 2. Plans to hold a tournament for Rtn, Anns and Rtylets in TT, Chess and Badminton The President announced attendance pattern of RWMs of the club. 4 members attendance was 80%; 3 above 60% and average attendance was 34%.

On the clarion call given by the President, the 1495th RWM was observed as a “Shramdan Day” at the Rotary Centre on 21st May 2026 from 4.00 PM to 6.00 PM. Following members attended the event: President Rtn Col AK Gogoi, PE Rtn Pravin Pradhan, PP Rtn Mukesh Changia, PP Rtn Vikash Golyan Jr., PP Rtn Rajat Dalmia, PP Rtn Col PC Thapa, Rtn Vikash Kejriwal, Rtn Ritika Singh, Rtn Cdr Dilram Gurung, Rtn Abhishek Gurung, Rtn Vishal Gurung and Rtn TT Bhutia. The twelve members put their heart onto the cleaning drive. The approach road from gate to the Centre was cleared of bushes and under growth. Old sapling planted were recovered from the wild growths and protected with tree guards. A number of new saplings were planted. The Rotary Centre Tapoban had a fresh look. After the hard work put in by the members a potluck fellowship followed. A mix of delicious dishes prepared at home by the spouses made the day.

All four charter members of the club were present on the occassion.Two Charter members, Mr. David Foning and Mr. KP Wang, who had left the Club also graced the occassion. Hon Member Bharat Mani Pradhan shared his thoughts through a written message. President Rtn Col Ashok gogoi welcomed the members. PEN Rtn Vikash Golyan Sr. gave the welcome address on the occassion. After all six charter members shared their experiences and anecdotes with the present Rtns and Anns. Their talk were very inetresting and compelling. Fellowship on 18 December 2025 to celebrate end of a successful 2025 and welcome 2026 The Rotary Club of Kalimpong gathered to celebrate the end of a successful first half of Rotary Year 2025-26 on 18 December 2025, at the Rotary Centre, and to welcome the New Year 2026 with warmth and hope; with families and friends. This special day called for special treatment and the Rotary Partners joined in to host a potluck dinner for all. The evening was marked by songs and dances with a DJ in attendance. The Dance & Dinner was attended by 35 members and family members.

Annual Rotary Picnic of RC Kalimpong.

The annual Rotary Picnic of RC Kalimpong was organised on 14 Dec 2025 at Relli (Palla), Kalimpong. The venue was a picturesque location, about 28 Kms from Kalimpong Town. Nestled on the bank of Relli Khola, it had natural running water feeding a large size swimming pool, safe for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. For minor children, streams of water flowing along the banks provided the ideal site for a family picnic. The President Rtn Col AK Gogoi welcomed all Rotarians, Partners and Rotarylets with a short speech. A record 58 Rotary members along with families attended the picnic. Besides games, music and dances, tambola was also organised for entertainment of the members and families. Everyone made full use of the bright sunshine to take a dip in the swimming pool. The CSD Rtn Abhishek Pradhan organised a sumptuous lunch at the site. The picnic helped to re-establish the bond between Rotarians and their family members.

The Ann’s Night was celebrated on 26th July at the Rotary Centre after adjournment of the 1st Board Meeting. 18 Rotarians along with their partners participated in the fun filled evening. Anns who were present on the occasion were Pasang Gogoi, the First Lady, Pratima Thapa, Sonia Dalmia, Sonia Golyan, Cammy Changia, Suruchi Jindal, Payal Golyan, Bandana Pradhan, Dr. Sanjeeta Pradhan, Deepsahana Pradhan, Senni Pradhan, Anamika Gurung, Deepanjali Sherpa, Dimaya Gurung and the lonely Spouse Lha Rhonbu Fudong. The theme for the evening was Glitz & Glam and dress code Black, Gold & Sparkle. PP Rtn Vikash Golyan Jr as the MC for the evening organised a number of exciting games that included catwalk with spouse, passing the basket, group games and DJ playing the latest dance numbers that kept everyone on their feet. Cake cutting in honour of our partners was done. Gofts were also given away.

The 33rd Installation Ceremony of RC Kalimpong was held on 5th July a Rotary Centre Kalimpong. Chief Guest on the occasion was Capt Prakash Mani Pradhan, Principal Rockvale Academy Kalimpong. AG Zone VIII, Rtn Shoyeta Chatterjee graced the occasion as a special guest. The Centre was readied by the backend team of Rtns Vikash Kejriwal, Mukesh Changia, Vikash Golyan Jr., and team. A photo of Maa Aparna who gifted the piece of land to Rotary was unveiled. A smooth and well orchestrated program followed with IPP Sheila Rai Fudong handing over her charge to incoming President Rtn Col Ashok Kumar Gogoi. First Lady Pasang Gogoi added a personal touch by honoring the new BOD with a Gamcha. Three Rtns who completed 25 yrs of continuous Rotary service were felicitated.
