Community Service International Yoga Day The Rotary Club of Kalimpong celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2026 by organising a yoga session at the Rotary Centre. The session was led by PE Rtn Pravin Pradhan and Honorary Rotarian Manindra Bhujel. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Rotary Anns and children from the neighbourhood. During the session, Honorary Rtn Manindra Bhujel spoke about the importance of incorporating yoga into one's daily routine and highlighted its numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits. He explained that, besides improving physical health and flexibility, regular practice of yoga also nurtures inner strength by helping us develop the ability to adjust, tolerate, forgive, and let go. The session commenced with warm-up exercises, followed by a series of basic yoga postures and asanas suitable for participants of all ages. Club Service Inter City Meet The Inter City Meet was held at Darjeeling on 20 June 2026, hosted by the RC Darjeeling. Eight Rotarians, one Rotary Partner, and three Rotarylets from the RC Kalimpong participated in the event. The Business Session was held in the morning, during which members deliberated on the current status of Rotary, membership trends, and the challenges affecting the growth of the organization. The session featured a thought-provoking discussion, ably led by Rtn Sunirmal Chatterjee of RC Darjeeling. The afternoon was devoted to sporting events, with competitions in badminton, table tennis, pickleball, snooker, bridge, and lawn tennis. Following lunch, a well-organized quiz competition was conducted. More than 50 Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Kurseong, Darjeeling, Darjeeling Himalayas, and Kalimpong participated in the day's activities. Club Service 1498th RWM The 1498th RWM was held on 18th June 26 at the Rotary Centre. President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. The House took up discussion on the resignation of the Chess Coach Mr. Subham Rai.
