The 8th Board Meeting was held on 28th Feb at the Rotary Centre. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi. The House discussed various otions for the coming DGs OCV. A visit program, and Agenda were discussed. PP Mukesh Changia briefed the House on PHFs and TRF contributions made by members. Proposal for opening new OInteract Clubs in St. Joseph Convent and Pranami Balika Vidyalaya were discussed. IPP Rtn SR Fudong was requested to fix up a date with Pranami Balika Vidyalaya for the same. High light of the meeting was a talk by guest speaker Dr. Dipti Tamang, Assistant Professor at Govt Degree College Pedong. She spoke on Culture, Politics and Identity in the Darjeeling Hills. It was a very interesting talk and the members were left spell bound by her speech, rich in contents and reasoning.
