The 1483 RWM was held on 26th Feb at the Rotary Centre at 5 PM. President Rtn Col Ashok Gogoi presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by 13 members. Important issues discussed during the meeting were the tentative date for the DGs OCV as informed by the AG Rtn Shoyeta Chatterjee, letter received from Mr. Santanu Podder, and proposal by PP Dr. MS Foning for a GG for VTC Phase II. AG Rtn Shoyeta Chatterjee was requested to fix a date in Apr as 11th Mar was too short a notice. Proposal for partnership with Rotary by Mr. Santanu Podder was turned down by the House as being not tenable . The House welcomed the proposal for GG by PP Dr. MS Foning. However, he was requested to complete the infrastructure of DISHA required for Phase II of VTC before taking up the GG. The House also discussed a checklist for the DGs OCV. Col Kunga proposed names for Vocational Awards which needed to be approved by the House. PE Rtn Pravin Pradhan gave a talk on the Hustory of Rotary.
